Jamilon Mülders
Former World Champion as Athlete, Assistant and National Coach
Jamilon Mülders is currently the performance manager of the youth department at the Royal Dutch Hockey Association - responsible for U16 - U21 teams. As a player, he won gold medals with Germany at the 2001 Champions Trophy and 2002 World Cup. He then turned to coaching and was the German women's national coach for five years, winning a European gold medal in 2013 and an Olympic bronze medal in 2016. As an interim national coach, he led the women of the Netherlands and helped transform the team going through a crisis while losing the headcoach and having a home world cup close by. Within nine months, he accompanied the women to another world championship gold in 2023. Holding three World Cup gold medals makes Jamilon Mülders one of three people who won the world championship title as a player and coach. He led the China women to a bronze medal at the Asian Games 2018 and served as a consultant to the team and staff for the silver-winning team of the USA women at the PanAm Games 2023. He is a master coach at the Johan Cruijff Institute, a Diplomcoach at the German Olympic Sports Confederation, and he holds a master's degree in Elite Performance (Sport) from Dublin City University. He is studying again at Dublin City University and completing his Professional Doctorate.
