Workshop Description

This workshop introduces athletes to non-directed movement and re-sensitization training, drawing from Vegetative Training principles and internal martial arts principles. Athletes’ relationship to their body is often dominantly about doing and directing, here we will tune in to listen and allow what the body has to tell us. You will learn to reconnect with their body's natural, spontaneous movements that often become restricted through life experiences and high volume of training. Through guided internal exploration and simple movements in sync with the intelligence of your breathing (rather than hands-on manipulation), you’ll will discover how to release compensatory patterns that may be limiting your performance potential and learn tools for ongoing self-regulation before, during and after games. This approach helps restore the body's innate capacity for fluid, efficient movement while enhancing overall function, recovery and athletic performance.

Become More Independent as an Athlete With These Key Focus Areas:

Learn to release compensatory patterns that may be limiting your performance potential

Learning to recognize and release habitual tension patterns through non-directed movement exploration.

Develop greater sensory awareness, self-knowledge and connection to natural movement impulses.

Enhancing recovery, injury prevention through expanded physical awareness.
